The app won't start

What to do if SatomiChat won't open, says “Steam isn't running” or asks for WebView2.

“Steam isn't running”

SatomiChat runs through Steam. Start Steam, sign in to your account and open SatomiChat again. It's easiest to launch the app from your Steam library.

It asks to install WebView2

The app window runs on the Windows WebView2 component. If it's missing, the app offers to install it: click OK, and the download and installation happen on their own. Then open SatomiChat again.

The window doesn't appear

SatomiChat runs as a single instance. If it's already open, launching it again just brings up the window. The window may have been hidden with the Show or hide the window shortcut: press it again.

If the window was on a second monitor that's now disconnected, connect the monitor or move the window with Win + arrow keys.

Nothing helps

  1. Restart your computer.
  2. In Steam, open SatomiChat's properties and verify the integrity of its files.
  3. Contact support, describe what's happening and attach a screenshot of the error.
