Message menu and moderation
What you can do with a message by right-clicking it, the viewer card on every platform, bans and timeouts, and how to customize the menu.
Right-click menu
Right-click a message in the feed.
| Item | What it does | Where it's available |
|---|---|---|
| Reply | puts a reply to this message in the message field | Twitch, Kick; on VK Video Live it inserts a mention |
| Mention | adds @username to the message field. Hidden by default; turn it on in the menu settings | Twitch, Kick, VK Video Live |
| Pin message | pins the message in chat until the end of the stream | Twitch, needs a moderator or owner account |
| Assign voice | picks a TTS voice for this viewer | all platforms |
| Mute TTS | the viewer's messages are no longer read aloud | all platforms |
| Hide in widget | the viewer's messages don't show in OBS | all platforms |
| Delete message | deletes the message from chat | Twitch and Kick, needs moderator rights |
The menu doesn't show items you don't have rights for. If a viewer is already muted or hidden, these items are replaced by Unmute TTS and Show in widget: they put everything back.
Viewer card
Click a username in the feed. Viewer cards are available on Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, Kick and VK Video Live. The top shows info about the viewer, and below it there's a list of actions: the same items as in the message menu, in the same order, plus moderation.
- Twitch: account age, how long the viewer has followed the channel and their subscription tier. The channel owner and moderators can see the follow info; only the owner sees the subscription. Moderation: Delete message, Timeout from 1 second to 14 days and Ban. The channel owner also gets Add moderator and Add VIP.
- Kick: account age, how long they've followed the channel and subscription. Moderation: Delete message, Timeout from 1 minute to 7 days and Ban.
- VK Video Live: account age, how long they've followed the channel, subscription and gifts. No moderation.
- YouTube: account age. TikTok: account age and a Follows tag if the viewer follows the channel. No moderation.
If the viewer is already banned or timed out, the top of the card says Banned or shows when their timeout ends. On Twitch and Kick there's an Unban or Remove timeout button next to it.
You can moderate if the channel owner's or a moderator's account is linked to the channel. How to do that: Signing in to platform accounts.
Customizing the menu
Open Settings → Appearance, find the Message menu section and click Menu items. Here you can hide items you don't need and change their order.
- Uncheck the box on the left to hide an item. Check Mention if you need it.
- Drag an item by the handle on the right to move it. The arrow keys also work on the handle.
- Reset to defaults restores the original order and hides Mention again.
These settings also apply to the list of actions in the viewer card.
