Pins, polls, predictions and Hype Train
The bar above the feed with the current poll, prediction, Hype Train, pinned message and connection status.
When a channel has a poll, prediction or Hype Train running, or there's a pinned message in chat, a semi-transparent bar appears above the feed. All of this comes in without signing in.
| Twitch | YouTube | TikTok | Kick | VK Video Live | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Polls | yes | yes | no | yes | no |
| Predictions | yes | no | no | yes | yes |
| Hype Train | yes | no | no | no | no |
| Pins | yes | yes | yes | yes | no |
How to use it
- Expand shows the details: poll options and votes, prediction outcomes, Hype Train level and progress. Only one panel can be expanded at a time.
- If there are several events, they rotate every 5 seconds. The Next button flips through them manually.
- When a poll or prediction ends, the result also appears in the feed.
If the connection drops, the first line in the bar says Connection lost or No internet, with Chat isn't updating below it and how long you've been offline. The app reconnects on its own and briefly shows Connection restored.
Pins
- Show in chat scrolls the feed to the pinned message, if it's still in the feed.
- Hide for me removes the bar from your window only. You can click Undo within 5 seconds.
- Unpin for everyone removes the pin on the channel. Works only on Twitch, with a moderator or owner account linked. You can undo it within 5 seconds.
- All pins shows the pins of all channels, if there are several.
To pin a message, right-click it and choose Pin message. More in Message menu and moderation.
How to hide it completely
Open Appearance → Platforms, choose a platform and uncheck Show polls, Show predictions, Show pinned messages or Show Hype Train. This only changes your screen; viewers won't notice anything.
Kick doesn't have its own checkbox for pins: they're hidden by Show pinned messages in the Twitch row.
