Signing in to platform accounts

You don't need to sign in anywhere to read chat. A platform account is needed to write in chat and moderate it. Three platforms support sign-in: Twitch, Kick and VK Video Live. YouTube, TikTok and W.TV chats are read-only in the app.

You sign in through your browser, on the platform's own website. SatomiChat never sees your platform password.

Where to sign in

• In the channel connection form: the Sign in with Twitch, Sign in with Kick or Sign in with VK Video Live row in the Your channel block below the field. It signs you in and connects your channel right away. If you've already typed a channel name, the link icon on the right side of the field links the account to that channel.
• On the Channel management page: the button to the right of the channel name.
• In the main window: the Connect Twitch account or Choose account bar in place of the message field.

You can connect several accounts on the same platform and choose for each channel which account to write as.

Twitch

1. 1Open the channel in Broadcasts & chats and click the account button to the right of its name.
2. 2If you don't have any accounts yet, sign-in opens in your browser on its own. Otherwise, click Sign in with Twitch.
3. 3Confirm the sign-in in your browser. The account is linked to the channel right away.

If the account you need is already connected, just pick it from the list.

What you can do depends on the account's role in the channel. The role is shown under the name:

• Channel owner and Channel moderator: write in chat and moderate. With such an account, follows also show up in the feed.
• Viewer, chat only: write only.

Kick

Open the Kick channel and click the account button to the right of its name. If you don't have any Kick accounts yet, sign-in opens in your browser on its own, and the account becomes the sender in this channel right away. If you already have accounts, pick one from the list or click Connect another account.

A Kick account can write in any chat; linking only chooses which account you write as. Moderation works if the account has permissions on that channel.

VK Video Live

Open the VK Video Live channel and click the account button to the right of its name. From there, it works the same as Kick. The account can write in chat. VK channel point rewards come into the feed only if the owner's account is linked.

One platform account per SatomiChat account

A Twitch, Kick or VK Video Live account can be connected to only one SatomiChat account. If it's already connected to another one, you'll see a notification like “This Twitch account is taken”. Disconnect it there and sign in again.

If sign-in gets stuck

Sign-in waits for confirmation in the browser for a limited time: about a minute and a half for Twitch and up to five minutes for Kick and VK Video Live. If you didn't make it in time or the browser didn't open, start the sign-in again.

How to unlink an account

Open the menu on the account row:

• Do not use in this channel unlinks the account from this channel only;
• Disconnect account disconnects it from all channels.
