Settings on another computer
How SatomiChat carries your channels and settings between computers, and what stays separate on each one.
Settings are stored in the SatomiChat cloud and tied to your Steam account. On another computer, just install the app from Steam and sign in with the same Steam account: your channels and settings will load automatically.
What carries over
- connected channels;
- connected donation services;
- TTS settings, including viewer voices, groups and the replacement dictionary;
- the app's look and the chat widget settings;
- OBS widget profiles along with their links;
- platform settings.
Changes go to the cloud immediately, and other computers pick them up at launch or within a few minutes.
What stays separate on each computer
- keyboard shortcuts;
- game mode;
- Show chat on top of all windows;
- click-through.
These depend on the specific machine and the games on it, so they don't carry over.
Subscription
Satomi Pro is tied to your account, not to your computer. It works on a new computer right away.
You may end up with more channels than your plan allows: for example, they were added on another computer while your subscription was active. Then the extra ones stay in the list marked Not connected, plan limit. Their chat won't come in until you turn off another channel on that platform or get Pro.
If your settings disappeared
Before replacing local settings with the ones from the cloud, the app saves a copy of them. If something went missing, contact support and we'll help you restore it.
