Keyboard shortcuts

Key combinations for TTS, the window and chat that work even on top of a game.

Keyboard shortcuts work system-wide: when the window is minimized or a game is open on top of it.

How to assign a shortcut

  1. Click the gear and open Keyboard shortcuts.
  2. Click an action's row and Press keys appears.
  3. Press the combination you want. Esc cancels recording.

Available actions

Text to speech:

  • Turn text to speech on or off;
  • Stop reading: cuts off the phrase and clears the queue;
  • Skip message: moves on to the next phrase;
  • Volume up and Volume down: in 10% steps;
  • Mute the current speaker: the viewer whose message is playing right now is no longer read aloud.

Window:

  • Game mode: Ctrl+G by default;
  • Always on top;
  • Click-through in game mode;
  • Show or hide the window.

Chat:

  • Chat input field: shows or hides the message field;
  • New message sound.

Only Game mode is assigned by default, so the app doesn't intercept the keys of your games.

Rules

  • A shortcut must include Ctrl, Shift, Alt or Win. Without them, you can only assign keys from F1 to F12.
  • Letters, digits, F1-F12, space, Enter, Delete and the arrows are allowed.
  • The keyboard layout doesn't matter: the physical key is what counts.

If the shortcut is already taken by another program or another action, the app shows an error under the row: choose a different one.

You can't remove a single shortcut on its own. Reset to defaults at the bottom of the page restores all shortcuts to their defaults.
