Adding channels
How to connect chat from Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, Kick, VK Video Live or W.TV, how many channels you can have and how to turn a channel off or remove it.
How to connect a channel
- Click the gear in the title bar and open Broadcasts & chats.
- If you don't have any channels yet, the list of platforms opens right away. If you already have channels, click Add another channel at the bottom of the list.
- Choose a platform: Twitch, Kick, YouTube, TikTok, VK Video Live or W.TV.
- Enter the channel name and click Connect or press Enter.
You can also connect your own Twitch, Kick or VK Video Live channel without typing its name: click Sign in with Twitch (or Sign in with Kick, Sign in with VK Video Live) in the Your channel block below the field. The app signs in to your account and adds your channel right away.
After your first channel, the Channel connected screen opens. From there you can copy the chat link for OBS and turn on TTS straight away. Later channels simply show up in the list.
You don't need to sign in to a platform account to read chat: messages from any public channel show up right away. An account is only needed to write in chat and moderate. See Signing in to platform accounts.
Channel name or link
You can paste the full channel link into the field, and the app will keep just the channel name.
| Platform | Example | What's allowed |
|---|---|---|
| Twitch | twitch.tv/nickname | 1 to 25 characters: Latin letters, digits, _ |
| YouTube | youtube.com/@handle | 1 to 30 characters: letters, digits, period, hyphen, _ |
| TikTok | tiktok.com/@nickname | 2 to 24 characters: Latin letters, digits, period, _ |
| Kick | kick.com/nickname | 1 to 25 characters: Latin letters, digits, hyphen, _ |
| VK Video Live | live.vkvideo.ru/nickname | 3 to 32 characters: Latin letters, digits, period, hyphen, _ |
| W.TV | w.tv/nickname | 1 to 30 characters: Latin letters, digits, period, hyphen, _ |
YouTube and TikTok messages only come in while the stream is live and public.
How many channels you can connect
The free plan allows one channel per platform: one Twitch, one YouTube and so on. With Satomi Pro, you get up to 10 channels per platform.
If you try to add one channel too many, you'll see the Free plan has one channel per platform window. The More channels button takes you to Satomi Pro. Once you've paid, the channel is added on its own.
If your subscription has ended, the extra channels stay in the list marked Not connected, plan limit: their chat doesn't come in. Turn off or delete another channel on that platform, and this one connects on its own.
Turn off or remove a channel
Click a channel in the list to open Channel management.
- Show messages temporarily turns off the channel's chat. The channel stays in the list. Until you delete it, you can't add a new channel on that platform on the free plan.
- Delete channel removes it completely. There's no confirmation, but you can always add the channel again.
If you add a channel that's already in the list, no duplicate appears: the app just turns it on.
