TikTok
How to connect TikTok LIVE chat, which events you see and why the viewer count can show up late.
How to connect
Add the channel by name: tiktok.com/@nickname or just nickname. You don't need to sign in to TikTok.
What you see
- messages;
- gifts. A streak of identical gifts arrives as a single event once the streak ends;
- follows and shares;
- likes, no more than once every 30 seconds per viewer;
- joins. Hidden by default; turn them on in Appearance → Platforms → TikTok → Show joins;
- the pinned message on the panel above the feed;
- message deletions and bans.
TikTok sometimes sends the viewer count only a few minutes after the LIVE starts.
Username and viewer card
By default, TikTok viewers are shown by their @username: it's unique to each person, while profile names can be the same. To see profile names instead, turn on Show display name instead of username in Appearance → Platforms → TikTok.
Click a username to open the viewer card: it shows when their account was created and whether they follow your channel. From the card you can assign the viewer a voice, mute their TTS or hide them in the widget.
What's not available
You can't write in TikTok chat or moderate it from the app: the chat is read-only.
FAQ
I can't see who joined the LIVE
Turn on Show joins in the TikTok platform settings.
A gift showed up late
A gift streak is shown after the streak ends so it doesn't clutter the feed.
