Donations in the feed and in OBS
How donations look in the feed, who reads them aloud, how to change the currency, show donations in OBS and check it all with a test donation.
In the feed
Each donation appears in the feed as a separate card: the amount, the sender's name (or Anonymous) and the message text.
The amount is converted to the currency chosen in Settings → Language, time & currency → Donation currency. More in Language, time and currency.
Reading donations aloud
SatomiChat doesn't read donations aloud, even when chat TTS is on. The donation service reads them in its own alerts, and that's where you set it up. So donations don't use your SatomiChat TTS daily limit.
Donations in OBS
Donations show in the OBS chat widget by default. You can turn them off in Settings → Chat Widget → Display → Show donations. Each widget profile has its own setting. In the widget, the amount stays in the service's currency.
Testing
In Settings → Chat Widget, there's a Donation button under the theme preview. It sends a test donation to the feed, the preview and the widget in OBS. In a narrow window, only icons are shown there; hover over one to see its name.
