Widget profiles
Several versions of the chat widget, each with its own link, for different OBS scenes. Two profiles are free, up to 12 with Satomi Pro.
A profile is a separate chat widget with its own link and its own settings: theme, text, animation, platforms and filters. For example, a large chat for your intro screen and a compact one for your gameplay scene. In OBS, each profile is added as its own source.
Profiles you start with
- Regular: a feed of messages.
- Ticker: messages run in a single line, handy at the bottom or top of the screen.
These two profiles are free and can't be deleted: their links may already be in your OBS.
How to switch and create a new one
- Open Settings → Chat Widget.
- Click the row under the Widget profile heading at the top of the page and choose a profile.
- To create a new one, click Add feed or Add ticker in the same menu. The new profile opens for editing right away.
All profiles and links in the same menu opens the list of profiles. The copy button in a profile's row copies its link for OBS. The More menu (the three-dot button) has Rename, Duplicate and Delete. The Regular and Ticker profiles don't have Delete.
What's shared and what's per profile
- Theme, text, animation, platforms, donation display and the bot list are separate for each profile.
- Hidden viewers are shared: Hide in widget hides a viewer in all profiles at once.
You can't turn a feed into a ticker or the other way around: create a new profile for that. Ticker profiles only have the Standard theme.
