Widget themes
Which themes the OBS chat widget has, how to choose and customize them and which ones come with Satomi Pro.
Available themes
| Theme | Where it works | Plan |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | feed and ticker | free |
| Comic, Cyber, Final Round, Glass, Hunter, Kawaii, Lawless, Pinned, Pixel, Retrowave, Sketchbook, Stargazer, Tabs, Terminal, Topside, Videotape | feed only | Satomi Pro |
Each Satomi Pro theme has 4 or 5 presets: they're a handy starting point, and you can fine-tune the details afterwards. Ticker profiles only have Standard.
How to change the theme
- Open Settings → Chat Widget and choose a profile at the top of the page.
- Under the Theme block, choose a theme from the Other themes row or click All themes.
- Click a theme: a large preview and its settings open. The buttons under the preview send test events.
- Click Apply. Without a subscription, Satomi Pro themes show Unlock with Satomi Pro instead.
Each theme remembers its own settings, so you can switch between themes without losing anything. Each profile keeps its own theme settings.
What you can customize
The Standard theme has two sections.
Appearance:
- Text font: 19 fonts, including monospace ones. Further down the menu, Other fonts has your computer's fonts and the app's built-in fonts. You can type the name of any installed font into the search and pick it as Custom font. That font has to be installed on the computer where OBS runs;
- Text shadow;
- Appear animation: Slide up, From the left, From the right, Pop or No animation.
Colors: the Message and Chat window layers. Each layer has a Backdrop switch, with the backdrop color, Opacity and Corner radius below it. The Message layer also has Text colour.
Satomi Pro themes have Presets at the top and their own sections below, such as colors, text, messages, animation and events. Each theme has its own set of settings. You can type in a custom font here too.
Reset theme at the bottom of the theme screen restores its original look. The profile's other themes aren't affected.
